SWEET OBLIVION
Breathless and blinded to the reality,
Not knowing where I crossed the limits into insanity.
I can’t possibly think of what to do,
I never meant to hurt you.
All I could think of was to save myself,
Feeling as if you had just thrown me on a shelf.
Invisible to everyone around,
No reason to make another sound.
I threw my thoughts out there,
Not thinking that anyone would care.
I was ready to just walk away,
There was no reason for me to hold on to hope and try to stay.
I will take every shot you have for me,
I should have known you will always put yourself before everybody.
