LIGHT
Finally I found my light,
I worked so hard to get it to burn so bright.
Everyone suddenly stopped to stare,
With looks that I cannot compare.
So amazing to be seen for all to declare,
Only pure beauty was what I now had to share.
Perfection was now all mine,
Now it was my time to shine.
How could I possibly imagine letting this go,
I feared the coming of sorrow.
I have never been allowed to feel this way,
I don’t know how I could continue on if this euphoria does not stay.
No longer will I be unseen,
I fear this is all a dream.
