LOCKED INSIDE
Do you wish you could be alone,
Or maybe you’re afraid of the unknown.
Do you know what it feels like to be scared of your own mind,
Knowing there is a defect in the way it was designed.
Do you know what it is like to not remember,
And feel like your mind is burning like an ember.
I do,
And I know there is some stuff I cannot undo.
I ask you to please believe,
In something that tries to deceive.
I cannot explain what happens when I lose time,
But because of it I can no longer shine.
I remember a long time ago when I was carefree,
And it was not hard to be happy.
But those times have long since died,
And now my mind cannot seem to provide.
I hate living this way,
Knowing the destruction is underway.
