Poems
SHADOWS
In the shadows the wind whispers a song,
Of memories that never last long.
The trees remember the brighter days,
Knowing that happiness wouldn’t fail to amaze.
But now all the love has been taken away,
And only the pain is here to stay.
The grass yearns to feel the warm embrace,
Of laughter of the woman’s grace.
The water misses the children’s delight,
And could hold them with love so tight.
Now just a calm meadow lies here,
Not a single soul drawing near.
