SILENCE
Quietly I sit here planning my last day,
No a thought from others can make me stay.
No a soul will know after it’s done,
No longer will I be the one who was broken.
So I sit here quietly thinking all the thoughts of my past,
A calm developing me knowing they won’t last.
I can say that with this final thought of freedom,
There is nothing about it that seems fearsome.
I wasn’t given life at birth but death,
Then brought back with their breath.
The doctors should have just left me be,
Not knowing the life they just gave to this baby.
I was dammed from the beginning of this supposed new life,
Nothing but volumes of strife.
No one could unconditionally love me,
And if I tried to show mine I was met with hostility.
Time after time I was given clues,
And stupid me, I chose to refuse.
But now I accept the whole reality of my forced existence,
And chose my own death sentence.
